New Delhi, Oct. 11 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday questioned the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, alleging that 16 lakh names were to be deleted from electoral rolls in Bengal and claiming that Form 6 was modified without the government's knowledge.

The party questioned how the deletions were being carried out and how Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh

Kumar was overseeing the process, while alleging vote theft.

However, AAP said it would not undertake any independent verification to establish whether the SIR process was fair. The party also accused the BJP led government of imposing an "undeclared Emergency" in Delhi following the police crackdown on protesters heading to Jantar Mantar on Saturday to demand Gyanesh Kumar's resignation.

Addressing a press conference, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that police dragged and assaulted youths, women, journalists and lawyers and detained thousands of people, including Arvind Kejriwal, three other former chief ministers and senior CJP leaders.
