India, Aug. 25 -- Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj on Monday questioned the Delhi government and said the entire city has been suffering from severe waterlogging, and shared videos showing roads and commercial areas inundated with rainwater. Sharing a video from Sadar Bazaar, Bharadwaj said the city's prominent commercial hub was flooded with waist-deep water, alleging that shops had been inundated and goods damaged. "This scene is from Sadar Bazar, Delhi's most famous commercial hub. Water has flooded the shops, goods are being ruined, and shopkeepers are left helpless," he said in a post on X. However, there was no immediate response available from BJP or Delhi government. "Ever since the four-engine government was formed, the entirety of Delhi has been suffering from severe waterlogging. The grand claims of drain cleaning have been thoroughly exposed. When will the administration wake up from its slumber?" Bharadwaj said. In another post, he shared a video showing schoolchildren playing in water accumulated on a road and took a swipe at the BJP government. AAP leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj mocked the Delhi government over waterlogging, calling inundated areas "free water parks" and "swimming pools". Heavy rain triggered widespread waterlogging and traffic snarls.
