
New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- As many as 101 retiring Delhi Police personnel received honorary next higher ranks at a pipping ceremony held at the Police Headquarters here on Monday, officials said.
Of the 101 personnel, nine Head Constables were promoted to the honorary rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector, 32 Assistant Sub-Inspectors to Sub-Inspector and 60 Sub-Inspectors to Inspector, according to police.
Special Commissioner of Police Rajesh Khurana, along with other senior Delhi Police officers, ceremonially conferred the honorary ranks upon the retiring personnel.
Addressing the gathering, Khurana, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police and senior officers, congratulated the retiring personnel and their family members and appreciated their contribution to the organisation.
