New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- An alleged unauthorised sleeper bus parking facility operating on MCD land in Mayur Vihar Phase-I has prompted a fresh complaint to the Delhi Police Commissioner, with local residents and businessmen alleging that more than 100 buses are being parked at the site despite repeated complaints to the local police.
The plot, located behind Crown Plaza Hotel below Metro Pillar No. 131, is allegedly being used as a parking facility linked to a business locally known as RSYADAVbus. According to the complaint dated September 24, the land has allegedly been used for unauthorised parking for nearly five years.
The complainants alleged that more than 100 sleeper buses, including those involved in loading and unloading, are parked there and that a tin shed has been erected on the plot.
They also alleged that money is being collected by presenting the site as a private parking facility despite having no MCD authorisation
or allotment.
A nearby businessman alleged that 10-15 complaints had previously been lodged at the local police station without action.
The complaint said the site had earlier been inspected by then Traffic Special Commissioner Jagdisharan and cleared as unauthorised parking, but the occupants allegedly returned after
his transfer.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Eastern Range, Milind Mahadeo Dumbare told Millennium Post, "We will take strict action against the business owner and involved persons in this incident."
