KUCHING, April 1 -- The sacking of Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Kuching chairman Datuk Lily Yong Lee Lee is currently under a "legal process", said Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

According to the SUPP president, this prevented him from commenting on the matter.

"The secretary-general will issue a statement because it is a legal process so I cannot comment," he told reporters after officiating at the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak's Integrity Day 2026 here.

SUPP's leadership has yet to address Yong's expulsion last month along with branch secretary Voong Nam Jing.

On March 26, SUPP Kuching Youth chief Nicholas Wung confirmed that the party's Central Working Committee (CWC) had sacked the two leaders.
