SINGAPORE, Oct. 3 -- After nearly four decades at East Coast Seafood Centre, popular restaurant Jumbo Seafood bid farewell to its flagship outlet on Wednesday (September 30).

And its legacy extended beyond the dining table.

In a social media post on Wednesday, the homegrown F&B chain said it raised a total of S$313,280 (RM1 million) in support of six organisations at its farewell and appreciation dinner, crediting the milestone to all those who supported the initiative.

The six beneficiaries are: Children's Wishing Well, Food from the Heart, Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society, Free Food for All, Nulife Counselling and Singapore Women's Association.
