KOTA KINABALU, Sept. 16 -- Technical teams from Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) are working around the clock to repair a collapsed transmission tower in Kampung Sarapung, Penampang, despite heavy rain and difficult access to the site.
SESB Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Yaakob Jaafar said the safety of workers remains the company's top priority while they carry out the repairs.
"Although they are facing bad weather and limited access, our teams continue working day and night to ensure electricity supply can be restored as soon as possible," he said in a statement yesterday.
According to him, SESB technical crews are deploying their full expertise and equipment on the ground to restore electricity safely and quickly.
