SANDAKAN, Oct. 22 -- Sandakan SPCA expressed deep distress over the case of a puppy that was beaten to death at Mile 6, here, on September 24.

"The puppy, believed to be under six months old, was reportedly beaten to death by an individual who has since admitted to the act in a video recording," said the society's Secretary Gin Voo in a statement, Tuesday.

According to information gathered by Sandakan-based animal welfare group, two eyewitnesses came forward with video evidence showing the individual openly confessing to killing the puppy, stating that he acted alone and was not instructed by anyone else.
