KOTA KINABALU, Sept. 25 -- Parti Warisan announced yesterday Kota Kinabalu Native Court District Chief Edna Jessica Majimbun, 47, as its newest member, in what party leaders described as a boost for youth and women's participation in politics.

Edna made history in 2020 as the first woman appointed as a District Chief in the Sabah Native Court system.

She is also the daughter of former Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Majimbun, although she said she had no affiliation with any political party before this.

Explaining her decision, Edna said she believed Sabahans needed to rally under one platform.
