KUCHING, Sept. 23 -- Road closures and traffic diversions for the Kuching Marathon 2026 will be implemented in three stages from midday Saturday (September 26) until Sunday morning (September 27).

Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the first closures would begin at noon on September 26 and involve Lebuh Wayang-Jalan Main Bazaar, Jalan Main Bazaar-Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, and Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg-Carpenter Street.

These three locations will remain closed until 10am on September 27 to facilitate preparations for the event.

The Jalan Barrack-Jalan Pearl junction will then be closed from 10pm on September 26 until 10am the following day.
