Nintendo's 'Zelda: Ocarina of Time' remake to drop Nov 5, alongside new Switch 2 version, electric ocarina and details of coming 'Zelda' movie (VIDEO)
TOKYO, Sept. 9 -- Videogame stalwart Nintendo officially confirmed the release date of the Switch 2 exclusive remake of the popular and acclaimed Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
In a Nintendo Direct The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary presentation streamed online last night, the company confirmed the game would only be available on the Switch 2 console and would be available starting November 5 this year.
While fans have been begging for a port of the game to newer systems, Nintendo has decided on a full-on remake with redesigned character models as well as updated controls.
For instance, as demonstrated in the livestream, players now press the X button to jump instead of automatically jumping when nearing a gap.
