ISKANDAR PUTERI, Oct. 6 -- A man is feared to have drowned while another was rescued after their fibre boat capsized in the waters near Kampung Tebing Runtoh here this morning.

Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Saifulizam Salleh said they received a distress call regarding the incident at 9.01am.

He said a team of seven firemen, along with a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), was immediately despatched to the scene.

"The boat, which carried two men in their 40s, capsized about 10 metres from a cliff.

"One of the victims was rescued by members of the public before firemen arrived, while the other has yet to be found," he said in a statement today.

Saifulizam said search and rescue (SAR) operations are still ongoing....
