KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 21 -- KL police have crippled two drug packaging and distribution operations using private residences, seizing an assortment of narcotics worth RM3.8 million in six raids in Klang Valley last week.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Commissioner Datuk Fadil Marsus said a total of six syndicate members, including three foreign women, were arrested following intelligence gathered by the Kuala Lumpur Narcotics Criminal Investigation Departments and public cooperation.

The suspects, aged between 33 and 61, were detained separately in several locations from October 14 to 17.

"In total, 462,765 grammes (462 kilograms) of methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA) powder, better known as ecstasy, were seized from the suspects."
