JOHOR BAHRU, Sept. 30 -- The Johor government has hired five security guards to protect a temporary residence for female students in Cairo, Egypt, following a break-in early yesterday morning.
It was reported that the temporary residence in Nasr City, Cairo, was broken into between 4am and 5am while the occupants were asleep. The students reported that their money was missing, but thankfully, no one was injured.
Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid confirmed the state government had taken immediate steps to ensure the students' safety and well-being.
