Kuala Lampur, Sept. 23 -- In an effort to better promote the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) passport-free border crossing for Singaporeans, the Johor government has implemented QR code specific routes and information dissemination to overcome the low take-up numbers.
Johor Public Works, Transport and Infrastructure Committee chairman Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh said there were issues arising in the initial stage, including the number of users that were still low as well as some who were less skilled in using the MyNIISe app.
"To overcome this, the authorities have opened Zones B1-B4 and hybrid routes in Zones B5-B8, in addition to adding banners and signages as a guide for users.
