MIRI, May 28 -- Police arrested three local men aged between 21 and 31 on Monday for suspected trespassing into the compound of a house in Tudan Phase 3 here.

Miri district police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said police received a report on Sunday night after the homeowner encountered the suspects at his residence at around 9.30pm.

"In his report, the complainant, who is the homeowner, claimed that he encountered the three suspects within the compound of his house before shouting, causing all of them to flee.

"However, the suspects left behind three sling bags containing identity cards as well as two bicycles, which were later seized as case exhibits," he said in a media statement today.
