BINTULU, Sept. 6 -- The public have been warned against falling victim to unofficial offers to purchase houses in the Kampung Jelutong Village Expansion Scheme (SPK) in Jepak.

Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee said he had been informed about certain parties offering housing units in the area through unofficial channels, with prospective buyers reportedly being asked to pay a RM2,500 deposit.

He added the parties allegedly used registration forms and location maps to convince prospective buyers that the offers were genuine.
