SINGAPORE, Oct. 11 -- A Chinese tourist received a rude welcome to Singapore when his Louis Vuitton bag got stolen at Gardens by the Bay during his first visit to the country.

He managed to track the alleged thief and retrieve it within 20 minutes, but several of the items inside were gone.

User Lao Hei Livefree posted on Xiaohongshu: "It was truly an extraordinary trip. My first time abroad, even my first time leaving the country, my first time in Singapore, and I got robbed!"

Photos accompanying the post show him walking around Gardens by the Bay with a police officer, and at least three officers at the scene talking to him and handling his luxury handbag.
