Kuala Lampur, July 19 -- If Barisan Nasional (BN) performs strongly in the Negeri Sembilan state election on August 1, one of the earliest political narratives likely to emerge may not come from Umno or MCA. Instead, it could come from PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.

Having already suggested that PAS played a decisive role in BN's success in Johor, Hadi may well repeat the argument should BN register another encouraging result in Negeri Sembilan.

Such a claim deserves careful scrutiny. More importantly, BN itself should approach this narrative with considerable caution.
