KUCHING, May 13 -- AirBorneo is evaluating direct international flight routes to Miri while also planning to strengthen connectivity between Sarawak's major cities, said Datuk Dr Jerip Susil.

The Deputy Minister of Transport said the Sarawak government remained committed to enhancing international air connectivity.

He said the state government is actively engaging with airline operators in collaboration with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), and other relevant agencies to facilitate the exploration of new international routes into Sarawak based on commercial viability and market demand.
