KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 -- Malaysia's first female surveyor has posthumously saved and transformed the lives of at least five people through organ donation, in a final act of generosity that is being hailed as an inspiration to others.

In a Facebook post, Hospital Sungai Buloh paid tribute to 72-year-old Hajjah Normah Abdullah by according her a Walk of Honour in recognition of her selfless organ and tissue donation.

"Her noble commitment as a registered organ donor was ultimately fulfilled by her beloved children, who honoured her wishes after she was declared brain dead.

"On June 21, her final act of generosity became a reality.

"Through this gift of life, the organs and tissues she donated are expected to save and transform the lives...
