KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 6 -- Malaysian smash-hit Projek: High Council is making the leap from living rooms to the big screen in style.

Anwari Ashraf's 2023 series became a full-blown cultural craze and Astro's all-time No. 1 on-demand show.

It racked up more than a billion views across social media too.

The universe already spun off the acclaimed 2024 prequel film Kahar: Kapla High Council, which put Amir Ahnaf's Kahar front and centre.

Now the franchise is diving even deeper with another prequel, Kudrat 1968: High Council, set decades earlier.

Yesterday the team pulled back the curtain on the six leads at a lively event at Robert's Theatre, The Campus in Ampang.
