KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 30 -- Malaysian film Irumbuth Thottam, directed by Jaydev Jayakumar, is set to become the first local Tamil feature to receive a public theatrical release in Australia.

Screenings are scheduled for October 2026, with the film presented in Australia by the Melbourne Malaysian Indian Cultural Club (MMICC).

Producer Jegen John Peter confirmed to Malay Mail that the Australian release will begin in Melbourne, with cinema listings expected to be announced soon.
