'Hokum' ending explained: What was haunting Ohm?
India, May 15 -- Horror movies are having a moment. The latest title on horror fanatics' release radar is Hokum. Fresh off SXSW, directed by Irish filmmaker Damian McCarthy (you might know him from his previous films, Caveat and Oddity), the film features Parks and Recreation and Severance star Adam Scott in a terrifying mix of rustic horror and Irish folklore. It revolves around Scott's Ohm Bauman, who, to put it lightly, is quite the prick. He's an interesting choice for a protagonist, given that you want a guy the audience would root for in a spooky, deadly situation. But McCarthy subverts the trope to give us an unlikeable lead.
