Lucknow, Sept. 5 -- A regional defence workshop held in Kanpur on Wednesday explored ways to strengthen the city's role in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC), with participants calling for greater integration of local industries and MSMEs into the defence manufacturing supply chain.

The workshop, titled 'Strategic Uttar Pradesh', was organised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) at Hotel Eternity in Bithoor.

Representatives from local industries and MSMEs, defence sector experts, research and development institutions, industry associations and government departments participated in the workshop.
