Jaipur, April 24 -- The Rajasthan government has notified new norms permitting self-certification of certain electrical installations, in a move aimed at simplifying compliance while maintaining safety standards.
The notification, issued under the Central Electricity Authority (Measures Relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2023, allows installations connected at voltage levels up to 33 kV to be either self-certified by the owner, supplier or consumer, or certified by an electrical inspector through a departmental portal.
