New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Potential additional US tariffs following the signing of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 could put significant pressure on India's textile and apparel exports, with industry body Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) urging the government to engage urgently with Washington.

The US is India's largest market for textile and apparel exports, making the sector particularly exposed to any additional tariff burden, CITI said.
