New Delhi, June 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated, dedicated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth around Rs 2,970 crore in Daman, covering healthcare, aviation, tourism, education, connectivity and urban infrastructure sectors.

The projects are aimed at strengthening public infrastructure, improving connectivity and expanding access to essential services across the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.

During the event, the Prime Minister said the initiatives would support economic activity and create new opportunities for residents, particularly the youth.
