Piyush Goyal to Visit UK Ahead of India-UK Trade Pact Rollout
New Delhi, June 25 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the United Kingdom from June 25-27 ahead of the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Double Contribution Convention (DCC).
Both the pacts are scheduled to come into force on July 15.
During the visit, Goyal will hold bilateral talks with UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Peter Kyle to review preparations for implementing the agreements.
Discussions are expected to focus on customs coordination, regulatory alignment, tariff liberalisation commitments, and operational arrangements related to the social security pact for temporary workers.
