New Delhi, April 1 -- The Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy and Power, Shripad Yesso Naik, on Wednesday said that no demand has so far been received from Andhra Pradesh for grid-connected solar plants under Component A and standalone solar pumps under Component B of the PM-KUSUM Scheme.

This information was provided by the Minister in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

He noted that PM-KUSUM is a demand-driven scheme and capacities are allocated on the basis of proposals received from states and the achievement of implementation milestones.

The Minister added that the responsibility for beneficiary selection and implementation lies with the respective State Implementing Agencies (SIAs).
