New Delhi, Oct. 4 -- The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has launched two new educational modules centered on the theme ofSwadeshi, linking its historic significance during the 1905 movement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for self-reliance in the modern era.

The modules, titledSwadeshi: Vocal for Local(for middle school) andSwadeshi: For a Self-Reliant India(for secondary classes), highlight how the concept has shaped India's past and continues to guide its future.

They include excerpts from the Prime Minister's Independence Day address, where he emphasised that "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" is crucial for India's progress.
