New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- The Ministry of Coal has successfully auctioned six coal blocks under the 15th round and second attempt of the 13th round of commercial coal mine auctions, with the auctions conducted on August 3 and 4, 2026.

The two auction rounds were launched on April 17, 2026. Of the six blocks auctioned, four are fully explored and two are partially explored. Together, the blocks have geological reserves of approximately 1,503.93 million tonnes and a cumulative Peak Rated Capacity (PRC) of 11.62 MTPA.

The auctioned blocks comprise Dip Side Ext. of PKOC in Telangana; Dongeri Tal-II and Mandla South in Madhya Pradesh; Margo West and Margo East in Jharkhand; and Tara (Revised) in Chhattisgarh. Final bid offers ranged from 4.50 per...
