Gandhinagar, June 11 -- Meta Platforms Inc and Reliance Industries Limited have announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership, with an agreement for Meta to lease an AI-enabled data centre being built by Reliance in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The facility, described as India's first built-to-suit AI data centre for a global technology company of this scale, will have an initial capacity of 168 megawatts with options to scale further.

Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "We're proud to be working with Reliance to build our first AI-enabled data center in India. This world-class facility in Jamnagar will help us scale our AI infrastructure globally while deepening our long-term investment in India's economy."
