New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- The Logistics Data Bank (LDB) has tracked 10 crore export-import (EXIM) containers since its launch in 2016, providing digital visibility of container movement across India's logistics network.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said the milestone reflects the use of technology to improve logistics efficiency and support manufacturing and global trade.

LDB provides visibility of 100 per cent of India's EXIM container movement through RFID-based technology. The platform covers 19 ports, 32 container terminals, 103 Inland Container Depots, 439 Container Freight Stations, 89 Manufacturing Special Economic Zones, 5,569 railway stations, 269 toll plazas and three Integrated Check Posts.
