Bengaluru, Oct. 31 -- The Karnataka cabinet has approved an investment of Rs 2,296 crore to revamp Bengaluru's infrastructure, with a focus on repairing roads and improving civic amenities across the city.
The move follows growing criticism from residents and industry leaders over the poor state of the city's roads and public facilities.
Of the total amount, Rs 1,241 crore will be used to develop infrastructure in newly formed corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil said the funds will primarily go toward road asphalting and related works to improve connectivity and road quality.
