New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- JSW Steel and South Korea's POSCO Group have signed a non-binding Heads of Agreement (HoA) to explore the establishment of a 6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) integrated steel plant in India.
The move strengthens the partnership between the two companies, following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in October 2024.
The proposed project is expected to be developed as a 50:50 joint venture, combining JSW's domestic execution capabilities with POSCO's advanced steelmaking technology.
Both companies aim to create a world-class manufacturing hub that will support India's growing steel demand and expand its presence in global markets.
