New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- India is advancing its semiconductor programme with plans to move from 28-nanometre fabrication plants to manufacturing cutting-edge 5-7 nanometre chips, Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), said on Wednesday.
Singh highlighted that government investments are aimed at bridging the gap with global leaders in chip-making.
Speaking with ANI, he noted, "It is well known that the government has been investing into the sector to ensure that we are able to catch up with the world's best in semiconductor manufacturing."
