New Delhi, July 29 -- The domestic technical textiles industry recorded a net trade surplus of Rs. 3,420.20 crore in FY 2025-26, with exports at Rs. 29,217.60 crore and imports at Rs. 25,797.40 crore.

The information was provided by Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha.

The Ministry of Textiles launched the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) in 2020 to promote the technical textiles sector. Under its Promotion and Market Development component, the Ministry has organised or participated in 47 national and international conferences.
