New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- India's private consumption is projected to reach nearly USD 1.9 trillion by 2030, driven by rising disposable incomes, urbanisation, a growing middle class, expanding internet penetration and a strong digital payments ecosystem, according to a FICCI-Deloitte report.

The report, 'Consumer Trends: IGNITEing Growth and Governance', released at FICCI MASSMERIZE 2026, said demographic changes, rising incomes and evolving consumer expectations are reshaping India's consumption landscape.

India has more than one billion internet subscribers and recorded 228 billion UPI transactions worth around USD 3.6 trillion in 2025, it noted.
