New Delhi, July 30 -- India's industrial production recorded a 7.3 percent year-on-year growth in June 2026 on a higher base, supported by strong performance in the manufacturing and electricity and gas supply sectors, according to PHDCCI.

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) stood at 123.1 in June 2026, compared with 114.7 in the same month last year.

Manufacturing and Electricity Drive Industrial Growth

Manufacturing, which carries the highest weight of 76.062 in the index, grew 7.8 percent during the month, while electricity and gas supply registered a 10.6 percent growth.
