India Proposes BRICS Capacity-Building Centres, DPI Repository For Digital Transformation
New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- India has proposed setting up capacity-building centres for BRICS countries to develop a future-ready workforce, along with a digital public infrastructure (DPI) repository to facilitate knowledge sharing and digital transformation among member states.
The proposals were discussed at the 12th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting, with India also suggesting voluntary, demand-driven pilot projects to deploy DPI solutions across BRICS countries.
Focus On Digital Transformation The proposed DPI repository would showcase best practices, open platforms and successful DPI models developed by BRICS countries, enabling members to share knowledge and support innovation, reported Business Standard.
