New Delhi, Sept. 22 -- The India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will enter into force on October 20, 2026, providing duty-free access for 100 per cent of India's exports to New Zealand from the first day of implementation.

The agreement was signed on April 27, 2026, by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and New Zealand's Minister for Trade and Investment Todd McClay. The date was announced after both countries completed their internal processes, with the New Zealand Parliament passing the required legislation on September 16.
