New Delhi, May 28 -- As climate risks to food supply chains intensify, Climate Group, a leading international climate organisation, has called for immediate and collective action across India's agriculture and food industries.

The Organisation has warned that extreme heat, erratic monsoon patterns, and severe groundwater stress are increasingly threatening India's food supply chains.

Divya Sharma, India Executive Director, Climate Group, said, "Resilience in agriculture and food sectors is urgent and requires everyone's participation - from farmers to large businesses, industry associations and the government," PTI reported.
