India Exports GI-Tagged Rewa Sundarja Mangoes to UAE for the First Time
New Delhi, June 29 -- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has facilitated the first commercial export of Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged Rewa Sundarja mangoes from Madhya Pradesh to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking the variety's entry into international markets.
The first consignment, comprising one metric tonne of GI-tagged Rewa Sundarja mangoes, was exported on June 26, 2026, by Salt Range Foods Pvt. Ltd.
The shipment was sourced from Seondha Farmer Producer Company Limited and farmer Sonu Gupta of Rewa district, with grading, sorting and export packaging carried out at an APEDA-supported packhouse in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, before being shipped via Varanasi Airport.
