New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- India and Bhutan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in agriculture and allied sectors, marking a new chapter in the long-standing partnership between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in Thimphu by Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Government of India, and Thinley Namgyel, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Royal Government of Bhutan.

The MoU provides a framework for cooperation in agricultural research and innovation, livestock health and production, post-harvest management, value chain development, and capacity building through the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
