New Delhi, May 22 -- The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has welcomed Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal's upcoming three-day visit to Canada from May 25, describing it as a step towards reviving stalled trade negotiations and deepening bilateral economic ties between the two countries.

CEPA Revival at the Centre

The visit comes at a significant moment, with India and Canada actively working to restart negotiations on a proposed Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), alongside a shared ambition to grow bilateral trade to USD 50 billion by 2030.

FIEO President S.C. Ralhan said the visit reflects the commitment of both nations to rebuild economic engagement and accelerate CEPA discussions.
