New Delhi, May 19 -- India is eyeing 100 gigawatt (GW) of nuclear capacity by 2047 and the recent reforms in the sector would open up new opportunities for global partnerships, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Atomic Energy Dr. Jitendra Singh said during discussions with an industry delegation from the US.

The US delegation comprising representatives from the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) held discussions with the Minister on May 18.

The discussion focused on exploring investment and collaboration opportunities in India's expanding nuclear energy sector.
