New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday assured Indian exporters that the government is committed to addressing their concerns and will explore all possible measures to safeguard their interests in the wake of steep tariff hikes by the United States.
The assurance came during a meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), led by its President S C Ralhan.
The delegation apprised the minister of the challenges arising from higher US tariffs, including reduced market access, pressure on competitiveness, and risks to employment generation in export-driven sectors.
