New Delhi, April 2 -- India has permitted the export of specified quantities of essential commodities—including eggs, potatoes, onions, rice, wheat flour, sugar and pulses—to the Maldives for 2026 27 under the bilateral trade agreement between the two countries.
The decision was notified by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which said these shipments will remain exempt from any existing or future export restrictions during the period.
