New Delhi, May 20 -- Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh inaugurated the national seminar on "New Age Fibres - Innovation, Research and the Road Ahead" in New Delhi on May 19, with discussions centred on the role of sustainable fibres in India's textile sector and future policy development.

The seminar was organised by the Ministry of Textiles through the National Jute Board and attended by policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, startups and academic institutions.

Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles Neelam Shami Rao and senior officials also participated in the event.
